The Golden Retriever Club of Columbus, Ohio, Inc. The Golden Retriever Club of Columbus, Ohio, Inc. was formed to encourage and promote the breeding of pure-bred Golden Retrievers and to do all possible to bring their natural abilities and qualities to perfection. The club also urges members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed approved by the AKC and the GRCA as the only standard to judge the excellence by which the Golden Retriever shall be judged. Another objective of the club is to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, field trials, and obedience trials and to conduct sanctioned matches, and specialty shows under the rules of the AKC and GRCA. Membership is open to all persons eighteen years of age and older who are in good standing with AKC. Interested persons should contact any officer or board member of the club. Golden Retriever ONLY training classes are offered on a limited basis throughout the year. |
